ABOUT THE COLLECTIVE / About us

A culture
we build
together.

People brought together by photography.
Every way of seeing has a place at TIME ZERO.

ANALOG PHOTOGRAPHY,
OPEN TO ALL.

A limited number of frames.Unlimited ways of seeing.

TIME ZERO is a student photography collective based at UC Davis. We connect through instant and film photography, hands-on experiments, and the exchange of physical photographs.

A photograph you can hold, give away, and revisit changes how you see the everyday. You do not need a camera or experience. Start with curiosity.

A limited number of frames changes how we look. A physical photograph can be held, given away, displayed, and revisited.

01 / PLAY

Go out and look together.

Photo walks、Instant-camera meetups and experiments with shared cameras. The everyday is our location.

02 / LEARN

Pass the curiosity on.

Peer-led workshops explore film, cameras, and how a photograph comes into being.

03 / MAKE

Let photographs move between people.

Trade a print, make a zine, put on a small exhibition. Build a shared archive, one frame at a time.

BLIND ROLL

Eight people, two cameras, and a finite number of frames. We discover what everyone saw when the roll is revealed together.

IN DEVELOPMENT

ZERO HOUR

Small groups explore Davis along different routes and make their photographs at the same instant.

PRINT CULTURE

Print swaps, small publications, and exhibitions keep memories on paper moving between people.
